The websites we list on our pages must have free, or some free, resources available to visitors. We define "free resources" as software, online games, utilities, or information which is humorous, instructional, or simply, in the opinion of our editor, interesting.
There are several reasons why we might decline to list a particular website.
1. More than one pop-up ad.
2. Exit pop-ups, Pop-unders, or pop-up ads which are difficult to close.
3. Pop-up ads for Gator, Comet Cursor, or other known spyware, and/or any pop-up that offers to make an unsolicited installation of software to the visitor's system.
4. Any website that appears, in the opinion of our editor, to be extremely and/or aggressively commercial.
5. Offensive language, images, political/religious extremism, offensive banner ads, or any other content which is not, in the opinion of our editor, "Family Friendly".
6. Websites which attempt to mislead, or defraud visitors. An example of this would be a website that lists adware as "freeware", or simply says "Free Software" without mentioning to the visitor that the software contains ads.
7. Websites which meet our standards otherwise, but don't offer anything unique or different from other websites we have listed. In all honesty, this is a "gray area", and before being rejected for this reason, a web site will have been very carefully and thoroughly reviewed.
