Cake Recipe.com -- Just what ya think. Great cake recipes and a searchable database.

Recipe Search -- There are several drop-down menus that are provided to make finding a particular recipe easier. But what may make this site even more useful is a box where you can type in whatever ingredients your pantry has in stock, and then search for appropriate dishes.

Regi Dean's Recipes -- A free recipe software for windows program to store, search, and print recipes. Friendly, easy to use and comes with recipes loaded.

Cooks.com -- More than a Gigabyte of searchable recipes online. That's over one and a half million recipes!

Culinary Cafe -- Hints, tips, and lots of recipes.

E-Cookbooks -- Lots of recipes and cooking tips.

iGourmet -- Recipe page.

I Dunno -- Thousands of free recipes to browse, share and post your own! Recipe requests always answered fast! And best of all, its free.

Amy's Cookbook -- A fast loading, no frills site with quite a few recipes.

Online Takeout -- I don't know how well this works, but they claim that you can order takeout or delivery from a restaurant in your neighborhood and they say "It's easy, it's convenient, and it's literally at your fingertips!" Might be worth a try.

Epicurious -- This seems to be the home site for bon appetit magazine. They offer 13,000 recipes online.

Granny's -- A few great candy recipes, and some nice tips. I never knew that salt, vinegar, or baking soda could be so useful!

Garry's BBQ Pit -- Tips and recipes for the BBQ fanatic in your house.

BeefTips.com -- Tips and recipes for beef lovers.

The Executive Chef -- Gregory Fischer works with his brother in the family restaurant, Altruda's Italian Restaurant on North Peters Road in Knoxville, Tennessee. Among other things, this site has some of his favorite recipes.

Back of the Box -- If you like to eat this could be the right place. They have hundreds of favorite Brand Name recipes and are adding more everyday.

Cooking By Numbers -- Put a check by whatever items you have in you fridge, and in the cupboard, and they'll help you make a nice dinner of it. Sounds perfect for the bachelor who wants to make a good impression on his new girlfriend, or the frazzled mom who's to tired to feel creative, and would like a little help.

RestaurantQuality.com -- A commercial site with a short list of very tasty looking recipes on this page! (If you try one of these and like it, let them know. Maybe they'll put up a few more! There's a "contact" link at the bottom of their page.)

Dorothy McNett's Place -- This commercial site has a long list, fifty eight categories in fact, of free recipes available to visitors.

Recipe Archive Index -- This is an archive of recipes hosted by Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science. The pages are fast loading and that's a good thing, because it seems to be quite a large archive.

minutemeals.com -- They've combined their joint experience of over 50 years in the kitchen to create fast recipes for quick homecooked meals that you can prepare and serve in 20 minutes. There's a great Quick and Healthy section too, for fast, heart-smart recipes.

Sally's Place -- Explore this award-winning culinary and travel site that spans the international scene. Here you'll find up-to-date news, insider's scoop, and feature articles by an eminent team of writers on food, beverages, restaurants, and travel. You'll also find hundreds of easy and tempting recipes, celebrity interviews, and other surprises. (Editor's note: Boy Howdy! Is this fancy or what?)

tarladalal.com -- This Indian site requires registration, but the basic membership is free, and there are a large number of free resources available to the basic member. Many international recipes are listed as well.

Recipes from TheFamily.com -- A respectable collection of recipes, but a "busy" web site. Scroll down, the index comes up eventually.

Smucker's Kitchen -- Plenty of recipes, tips, and you can submit cooking questions to get expert answers. A nicely done site from the folks at Smuckers.

Randall's Ask Lori -- A few recipes and some interesting information. You can also email Lori, who is, among other things, a nutritionist, for answers to your food nutrition questions.

Pastalicious -- Lotsa pasta recipes. Lotsa advertising too, but still a good resource.

Multi-National Recipes -- Some sections appear to be "under construction" but there are a few good recipes here.

Practical Kitchen -- Over a thousand recipes, tips, and other information too.

Great Cooking -- A few good recipes, readers Q & A, and some other information too.

Food, Cooking and Comment -- The food section of the online Houston Chronicle. Recipes and much more.

Collected Recipes -- Here's a large collection that covers a lot of ground, including Jellies, Jams, Salad dressings, Sauces, and Ethnic foods

The Gutsy Gourmet -- ***** Yeah, I know, we don't rate our sites, but this one gets five stars anyway. There are diabetic recipes, vegetarian recipes, a dozen categories of ethnic recipes, cooking tips, beverage recipes, and plenty of other resources here. Over a million recipes in the database!

Pillsbury -- The recipe page of this famous company. There are tips, ideas, and plenty of recipes here.

The Urban Hub -- From James Barber, author, columnist, radio personality and one of the best known television cooks in the world (he prefers not to be labeled a chef). He has become an icon in his home country of Canada.

The Kitchen Project -- Tips, suggestions, interesting things to read, and, of course, recipes.

Food, Glorious Food -- This is an odd looking site, and navigation is a little strange, but they have a nice sized, and very diverse list of recipes.

Mostly Desserts -- A modest collection of desserts on this Australian site from Katherine Phelps.

FTP directory -- If you're like me, you have no idea how to use an FTP directory, but, you can click on the highlighted links, navigate to the recipe you want, then print the page, or copy and paste it into NotePad, WordPad, or your favorite word software. If you don't know how to do that, ask your friends on the web, or email us and we'll teach you how.

CookeryBook.com -- This site, operated from Switzerland, claims to have thousands of recipes, but you'll have to register to get at them.

Ellen's Kitchen -- There's a respectable collection of recipes here. Vegetarian recipes too.

The Green Chronicle -- I first assumed that this site had vegetarian recipes, but a closer investigation revealed that this is not the case, and they have a nice collection too.

iVillage: Food -- Over ten thousand recipes, tips, and more.

Hookery Cookery -- A respectable collection of recipes by Alwyn Jones.

Meals For You -- A searchable database of over eight thousand recipes. Lot's of interactive features if you care to register, but you can get to the recipes whether you register or not.

Birds Eye -- An interesting web page and more than a few good recipes.

Anywhere -- More specifically, "Anywhere but in the kitchen". A nicely done website with a good concept and great recipes.

Aunt Runner' Recipes -- A nice general collection but the site is fairly graphic intense so it was slow to load.

Alberta Rose -- A sizable collection of recipes. The site has a pop-up, but, annoying advertising aside, there are plenty of recipes here.

Giant Food -- I think this is a supermarket chain. They have a nice collection here.

Food Reference -- A wealth of food information here, along with plenty of recipes.

Good Cooking -- A fairly slow loading, slow navigating site, with some pop-ups and plenty of recipes.

ChefEasy.com -- Here's a huge recipe collection that seems reasonably easy to navigate.

Granny's Kitchen -- A little interesting reading, and recipes too.

Gorton's -- The Gorton's seafood folks have a nice website with some cooking resources and recipes too.

Recipe Guys -- A nicely done site with a huge collection of recipes.

Recipe Center -- Here's another "biggie" with a ton of recipes and more.

Mr Food's EasyCooking -- This site mainly exists to promote their magazine, but there are plenty of recipes here.

StarChefs -- Navigation is strictly by site search engine, but there are many recipes here.

Interesting Recipes

Native American Foods -- A very interesting site, with native American recipes, and much more.

Teresa's Unusual Recipes -- A small, eclectic, but interesting collection.

Golden Harvest -- Two pages (don't miss the link to the second page!) of unusual but very interesting vegetable recipes.

Golden Harvest Fruit Co. -- A short list of recipes that use citrus fruits as one of the ingredients. Broccoli With Golden Orange Sauce sounds really good to me!

Unusual Recipes

Unusual Early American Recipes -- Do you anticipate a need to prepare Pigeons, Wild Ducks, or Terrapins? Then this strange page will be helpful to you. Frankly, it made me feel slightly nauseous.

Kwakuitl Recipes -- Genuine Kwakuitl Indian recipes from NW Coast circa 1914.

Tasty Insect Recipes -- From Iowa State University's Department of Entomology.

Unusual Recipes -- This is a great resource if you want to prepare such unusual oddities as Racoon, Bear, Moose, Muskrat or Crow. Otherwise, don't bother with it :-)

Civil War Interactive Cookbook -- Odd recipes for odd parts of pigs and other interesting and unusual recipes too.
