DinoFish -- Virtually unique in the animal kingdom, with a saga steeped in science and popular imagination, the fabulous Coelacanth ("see-la-kanth"), that 400 million year old "living fossil," swims on. Once thought to have gone extinct with the dinosaurs, the Coelacanth was "discovered" alive and well in 1938!

World of Escher -- M.C. Escher was a Dutch graphic artist, most recognized for spatial illusions, impossible buildings, repeating geometric patterns (tessellations), and his incredible techniques in woodcutting and lithography. A Game a Day -- Agameaday.com has created thousands of games, puzzles and related materials to stimulate learning, problem solving and creative thinking. Very Cool!

Welcome to Amersham -- Visit a town in England and see the sights. Very cool! Amersham is situated 27 miles north west of London, in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire, England.

Brain.com -- This is a commercial site, but they have some cool (and free) quizzes, and lots of information about the brain.

America's Story -- Discover the stories of america's past. Meet amazing americans, jump back in time, explore the states, join america at play, see, hear, and sing.

Johannes Wallroth -- Mr Wallroth is a a gifted programmer and you'll find many wonderful freeware programs on his site, but that's not all! He has some excellent tutorials and resources for anyone who want's to learn programming in C++ or Java, and the "artwork" section of his site contains high quality digital art and photographs. A great place to visit, and don't be surprized if you feel compelled to stay a while and explore. If, like me, you feel inspired to leave a thank you note in his guestbook, be sure and tell him where you found his site.

That's a Phoon. People from around the world send in Phoon pictures from their home towns and their travels. You can, too! See Editor's Picks for the best. Maybe not educational, but fun, and who knows what exotic places in the world will be in the pictures, so it could be considered a Geography lesson.

Alfy -- This web portal for kids is a fun, educational site where kids three through ten (or so) can safely surf and play online. Its based entirely on graphical icons allowing even the youngest web explorers access to the net. This site contains interactive stories, abc and 123 games, music and art activities.

Roxie's ABC Fish -- This free kids learning program offers an enjoyable 3d animated game environment in which children easily learn their abc's and numbers.
