Animal Eyes -- 50 to 75 percent of all words in text material are common words which are repeated. These 220 words are called the Dolch Sight Words. Because these words are used to hold thoughts together, these words must be recognized at at glance before a child can read with confidence. Try this fun interactive challenge game where the visitor can be drilled on these words and hear on the internet any words he/she can't read. As each level is mastered a certificate is awarded. The word animal eyes is used as a theme to make this fun. The pages take about 20-30 seconds to load on an average but the sound files are worth it! Even though images may appear, wait as the sound files take an extra ten seconds to load.

My wife teaches an ESL class, and her school system forbids students to access online email from school computers, so, in order for them to use Typing Pal, we registered a number of email addresses, with a popular email provider, from our home system (Students don't check the email on these accounts, thus complying with school rules, they simply need an address to register with Typing Pal). Each student needs a unique address, with which to log in to Typing Pal and records of their progress are kept from session to session, so they can see how they are improving. Her students love this site.]
